On Friday, 7 August 2026, the Fédération des Entreprises du Congo (FEC) elected Ms Grâce Mbongi Umek, Managing Director of AMAZONE SÉCURITÉ, as Chair of the Professional Guarding Committee.
The working session leading up to this election was chaired by the President of the FEC, Mr. Robert Malumba Kalombo, in the presence of Committee members. Their shared objective is to help strengthen the private-security sector in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Ms. Grâce Mbongi's mission is to represent member companies and to support the development of an evolving sector.

Professionalise, structure and engage
This election takes place in a context marked by the professionalisation of guarding, the strengthening of quality standards and the improvement of collaboration between the companies in the sector and their stakeholders.
Drawing on her experience leading AMAZONE SÉCURITÉ, the new President intends to focus her mandate on stronger sector organisation, professional ethics and the development of national expertise.
This election begins a new chapter for the Committee as it continues to facilitate dialogue, represent member companies’ interests and support the sector’s development in the DRC.
